Ahi Tuna Tartare

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic grated or minced
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 green onion thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 cup sashimi-grade ahi tuna cut into small pieces
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Combine garlic, ginger, honey, oil, soy sauce, onions, and sesame seeds in a mixing bowl.
  • Add tuna and stir until well coated.
  • Place a cylinder on a plate and add tuna mixture.
  • Gently remove the cylinder.
  • Voila! Enjoy!

Notes

Chef Note: If you do not have a cylinder, you can simply add tuna mixture to a measuring cup and flip upside down onto a plate.
