Why You SHOULD Eat Before Bed (Myth Busted)

Okay, before we dive into our last recipe, I want to bust a common myth and give you a powerful health tip all at once. If you’ve ever heard that you shouldn’t eat before bed, I’ve got news for you: You don’t have to go to bed hungry. In fact, choosing the right foods before bed can be highly beneficial for weight management, appetite control, losing unwanted fat, building calorie-burning muscle and improving metabolic health.

Considering that we’re talking all about protein today, it may not come as much of a surprise that it is a top choice for a nighttime snack.

Protein Muffins Recipe

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2: Combine the following ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

  • 1 cup Plain Flour
  • 3/4 cup Low Carb Vanilla
  • 1/3 cup Flaxseed
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
  • 1 pinch of Salt

Step 3: Stir contents of mixing bowl well.

Step 4: Put the following ingredients into a blender:

  • 1/3 cup Coconut Oil
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/3 cup Honey
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 Bananas

Step 5: Blend Until Smooth

Step 6: Pour blended mixture into dry ingredients and mix together.

Step 7: Mix into 1 1/2 cup fresh of frozen blueberries.

Step 8: Pour into muffin tin lined with parchment paper.

Step 9: Bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 10: Remove from oven and let cool. Enjoy your delicious protein muffins.
